Sharp outlines with the Pen Tool
In this lesson, you will learn how to use the pen tool to make precise paths that make sharp extractions.
Mask Basics
In this lesson, you will learn the basics of masks, how to create a layer mask, both bitmap and vector as well as some rudimentary selection tools. You will also be introduced to the quick mask mode.
Basic Selection Tools
In this lesson, you will learn how to use the magic wand tool, add/subtract/intersect selections and a quick overview of the quick mask mode.
Refine Edge & Matting
In this lesson, you will learn how to turn a rough selection into a detailed outline (of hair) and how to remove white or black matting.
Quickmasks
In this lesson, you will learn how to master Quickmasks, creating selections using the brush and painting tools to get very accurate selections.
Selection by color
In this lesson, you will learn how to make selections based on colors. 3 different methods of selection by color that are useful in various cases. You will also learn how to use the focus selection.
Advanced Extraction
In this lesson, you combine all the above methods and then use a technique I created for extraction that uses layer blending. Advanced, but very high-end results.
Composites
In this lesson, we take 3 of the photos we outlined and make composites. Since they are already outlined, the composites get done very quickly!
